A Bitter Lesson

As we approach the end of chapter 15, we need to remember what just happened. The Passover and crossing of the Red Sea constitute the great redemptive act of the Old Covenant, prefiguring the full and final redemptive act of Jesus Christ our Passover in the New Covenant. Deliverance is both FROM and TO: FROM oppression and slavery TO a new way of life. Why did God take his people to Marah, and what do we all need to learn there?
