Heart Murder

Jesus is not undermining the Moral Law, nor is He "raising the bar" by introducing a new law. He is merely showing the inadequate understanding of the Law (specifically the 6th commandment) that was so commonly held to by the Pharisees and those influenced by them. Here our Lord exposes the sin of murder in the heart and demonstrates the true essence of the 6th commandment.
