Predestined for Adoption as Sons

Salvation is of the Lord, from beginning to end. In Ephesians 1:4, Paul tells us that God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before Him. Continuing this line of thought in verse 5, Paul says that, in love, God predestined us for adoption as sons. Adoptions highlights many privileges of redemption, including God's choice of us, our new identity in Christ and the wondrous blessing of now being able to cry, Abba, Father.
