Spiritual and political principles do cross paths in our lives. Politics can either be an art and science of governing, or simply a means of opportunistic manipulation. As David returned from exile across the Jordan, it was his responsibility to lead according to higher principles. But David made mistakes on this occasion that made an emergent situation worse.
