"God issued a bold challenge and made an unchangeable promise. God challenged the world of men to dispute His sovereignty. God proved His almightiness by the effectual call of Abraham. As Paul spoke of the elect Israel within national Israel (Ro 9:6), God called Israel ""my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen"". To these, the Lord promised: ""I...will not cast thee away"".
