The Body is of Christ

In light of the reality of Jesus being a real, tangible man, who was also simultaneously God, there were still those who could not grasp that He IS the fullness of the Godhead, bodily!

Instead, just as it is today, false teachers were saying that you must follow the Law, along with the obligation to obey the Sabbath, and dietary rules and ordinances. Jesus, and His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection totally fulfilled all such notions. Those were merely a shadow of the reality of Christ.
Because of Christ’s open defeat of all the principalities and powers, there is no more need for the dietary laws, feast days and the sabbath days. Yet there were those who had a human standard for holiness, and one needed to line up with them.
