A Warning On Criticism

In this lesson we note that God's people are not to have a critical spirit of overly censorship. Beloved, do you strain at the gnat and swallow the camel? Do you find fault in others so that you feel better about yourself? Know you not that you have become a law giver and not a law doer? The context tells us that the root cause is jealousy and envying. James teaches the same lesson that Christ taught in Matthew 7:1-5 and many other places as our Lord and Savior dealt with the Pharisees. Many children of God have become like Pharisees. We must have a self-watch looking inward and judging with the Scriptures, not our interpretation of the scriptures.
