Encouraging the Disciples - Joy and Peace in the Spirit

Jesus concluded His instruction to His apostles with a final word of encouragement. Pain and sorrow awaited them, but as ushering them into a joy and peace they'd never known and which could never be taken from them. This joy and peace wouldn't deliver them from the tribulation that fills the world, but would carry them triumphantly through it. For Jesus was promising them His own joy and peace which they'd share when they were taken up in His life by His Spirit.
