The “Blessing and Curse” In the New Covenant
Series Unsearchable Riches of Grace
65
The “blessing and curse” of the Mosaic Covenant (Deut. 11:26-32) had nothing to do with the salvation of individuals within the nation of Israel. The “blessing and curse” of the Mosaic Covenant was the means that God used to keep the nation of Israel accountable in policing themselves and individuals within the congregation of national Israel regarding doctrinal purity, sin, and separation from the paganism of their surrounding nations. An important question that believers should answer is if the “blessing and curse” is unique to the Mosaic covenant. In other words, is there a “blessing and curse” included within other covenants and especially within the New Covenant?
