Lk 15 11-32 A Man Had Two Sons

53 ( 20 | 33 )

Jesus continues His parables before the Pharisees wherein He illustrates the lack of understanding about the Kingdom of Heaven and what brings joy to the angels.

He has already hit them hard with two illustrations that rocked their pat understandings. Now, He is going to lay it out so clearly that they will not be able to avoid the hard truth...and they will respond with scoffing.

God is clearly giving them ample warning concerning their need to repent or remain lost.

God has made His presence and work so clearly visible to all that we cannot avoid it...either we will respond to His creation with a desire to know the Creator, or we will substitute anything to avoid (or so we think) being responsible to the Creator. There is no language or speech where the language of God's creation is not heard (Ps 19:1-4).

No matter how much we would like to argue against it, we are born in sin, and our natural inclination is toward sin. Praise the Lord for the grace He has lavished on all who believe in His name and put their trust in His Annointed One, Jesus, the Christ.
