What The Apostle Paul Meant When He Tells Christians To Be 'Followers Of Me'

The apostle Paul is one of the most important figures in the New Testament next to Jesus Christ, and yet, he is often one of the most misunderstood of all the apostles. In three different places in the New Testament, Paul writes to Christians imploring them to 'be ye followers of me'. He is the only one to write this way, and it has caused much confusion among the Body of Christ. over the years.

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we will be looking at the commissioning of Paul as he makes his transition from the murderous Saul into the beloved apostle and writer of 14 of the 27 New Testament books. We will examine in depth his commands for all believers to follow him, why he says that, and on what authority he says that. Paul is not like the other apostles, he is special, but he paid a huge price to bear that distinction. Even Peter, in one of his last written statements he would ever make, places his seal on Paul as he passes the baton of church leadership to him.
