Servant Greatness

Who is the greatest person in the world? It is no one you know. It is a person who has not sought the limelight and has not tried to make a great name for himself. He, or she, is a servant of others. Jesus was revolutionary when He taught that the greatest is the servant. The world knows nothing about this. Unfortunately, the attitude of the world is too often found in the church. Who is the greatest pastor? It is not the most famous pastor. It is not the pastor with the biggest congregation. It is not the pastor who has written the most books and who speaks at the most conferences. It is the pastor who selflessly serves others and is probably unknown. If we believe Jesus' words, then it will have a profound effect on our lives.
