Careful How You Listen

People may mock God, but no-one can escape Him. There are a lot of people who have closed their eyes to the truth. Instead, they are desiring distractions so that they never have to get quiet and face the reality they are running from. These are like the seed that the birds came and ate up, the word never penetrates. Then there are those who hear the truth and get really excited but do not persevere because there is no depth. This is like the seed that fell in the rocky places. There are also people who hear the word but the word gets choked out by the cares of this world. This would be like someone saying that Jesus is one of the most important people in their life. Even like someone saying Jesus is the most important thing in their life. The apostle Paul said, Jesus is his life. Instead, when the seed falls on good soil, the cares of the world are blocked out. These people produce a crop 100, 60, or 30 times that which was sown. We need to ask God to change us and ask Him to produce a crop in our lives.
