The Invitation To Wisdom

208 ( 122 | 86 )

Wisdom is readily available to those who desire it. Wisdom is not the same thing as intellegence, although it is intellgent to gain wisdom. We need to agree with God concerning right and wrong. Wisdom does not always result in worldly acclaim. It is never ever wise to engage in wickedness. It is never wise to think that we can do another foolish thing after already doing a foolish thing. We will never improve our situation by doing the wrong thing. No earthly reward compares to wisdom. We need a Godly perspective. Wisdom involves hating evil. That means we do not even talk about evil and we are not to have perverse speech. Jesus said that out of the abundance of heart, the mouth speaks. If we love wisdom, we will be wise. If we love and seek wisdom, we will find wisdom. Wisdom is subordinate to God. Wisdom is not an achievement of mankind, it comes from God and reflects His character. The design of the universe displays the wisdom and nature of God. When we look at creation we see God's work on display. If we fail to find wisdom we hurt ourselves. God is not withholding wisdom from us if we search for it. When we do something that is foolish, do not blame someone else. Ask God for wisdom, He will give generously to those who ask. Wisdom is available to all who desire her and whoever does not want to be wise, is headed for destruction.
