Casting Lots in the Church?

We investigate Peter’s apostolic interpretation of the Psalms to discover that the traitor Judas must be replaced. Peter spells out the qualifications for the apostolic office and uses the Old Covenant (pre-Pentecost) means of selection – the casting of lots. Later on, the revealed means of congregational appointment will replace lot-casting as the method for “selecting out from among you” qualified church office bearers.
