The Prison of Pride

Pride is like a prison that entraps a person, with humility being the key out. In 2 Chronicles 16, Asa, a believing king who has been good thus far goes the route of imprisoning himself in pride and has a sad ending to his life. This also happened with Amaziah and Uzziah. Ahab and Manasseh, who were extremely wicked, humbled themselves and God had mercy on them. David, a good king, understood humility and it was a pattern for him. May God give us grace to take the key of humility and get out of the prison of pride that is so close to all of us.
