The Healing of a Demonic Boy

The earlier part of this chapter tells us about the transfiguration of Jesus; a time when His inner circle of disciples saw His glory and heard His Father speak of Christ's majesty. The same compassion that brought Jesus down from the Father's throne now leads Him to deal with a child who was possessed with demons and crushed under the burden of their enslavement. The Lord also deals with religious doubters and with faithless disciples but He proves Himself to be the Son of glory by healing this troubled child.
