Obadiah: The God of Justice Reigns

The relationship between Israel and Edom was a history filled with conflict. Edom was notorious for how it hated and opposed and murdered its brother, Israel.

With the prophecy of Obadiah, the God of justice tells Edom, "Enough is enough. A day of justice is coming when the LORD will visit you with judgment for the violence you've done to your brother."

But this brief prophecy ends with a ray of hope: the same God promises to rescue and restore His people.

This book raises some ultimate questions about the relationship between God's just wrath and His grace. And Obadiah concludes by showing us where our ultimate and only hope is found.
