That I May Know Him

91

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his evening ministry in Paul's epistle to the Philippians. What are you living for? What is the purpose of your life? For the believer, it should be to 'know Him', to know Christ! As Pastor Stobbs exclaims, 'these verses should rock us to our very core'. Paul urges the church at Philippi to give their all for the Lord Jesus Christ, to pursue Him, that they might know Him, in the deepest possible way. In response to the working of the grace of God in his life, Paul is completely focused on one thing, Christ, nothing else comes close. In these verses, Paul speaks of the genuine Christian experience in the light of knowing Christ. Pastor Stobbs delivers a message that highlights that our doctrine must also be such that it moves us in our hearts as well as our minds, we are not to be dead in orthodoxy. The Gospel of Grace is wonderful because above all it brings us into a right relationship with God, through the merit of His Son, the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. The question is, where is your treasure? What is the purpose of your life? Have you experienced Christ? Is there hope in your life? It can only come through Christ, trust Him, rest in Him, desire above all to know Him.
