The Donkey. Important? Oh yes. You'll be surprised to learn why

290

In the pregame show our pastor talks about the agreement our executive branch has reached with Iraq, and what the response should be from our legislative branch. But enough of the warm and fuzzy stuff. On with the Sermon.

Pastor starts the lecture by bragging about all the amazing things he has solved from our list. He says he's going to solve the mystery of the donkey today. He reminds us of the logic that the tenant farmers, in the parable of the Vineyard, were using. And he runs over other things on the list so as to pick up the stragglers and those who have played hooky the past few weeks, due to the sunshine/summer anomaly up here.

You'll notice that the sign of the Wife and the sign of the Bride are mentioned together in scripture. So let’s now look at Romans 11:25-32. We find that God is telling us that the mercy He gave to Israel has been extended to others as well. (Hey, that's us.) And pastor ties this in with Jesus command to Remember Lot's Wife. Pastor helps us determine what the word pillar means. If you disagree with him, send your letters stuffed with money by which to attempt a bribe. Will that work? I don't know. Try it a few times and I'll let you know.

So we will now take another run at the taking of the donkey you see in Mark 11:1-11. Why does God ride a donkey? And just who is the donkey? The answer lies in Zechariah 9:9. I'll let pastor explain this. I'm just not qualified.

Alright, I think I've given you enough to get you to listen on your own from here. If not, you can send me letters stuffed with money and maybe that will persuade me to write longer lecture descriptions. Somehow I don't think that’s gonna work.
