Reflections on Building a Church and a Building

464 ( 345 | 119 )

In the late 1980's Wahoo Community Church was planted. It started as a small group meeting in a living room.

Also in the late 1980's a bowling alley caught fire in Wahoo, Nebraska. The damage was extensive. Eventually the owner decided not to repair the building.

In this message, we hear from Chuck Malm & Scott Negley who are elders and long time members of Wahoo Community Church. Chuck and Scott reflect on how Wahoo Community Church has grown, and on how the members of this church have given of their time, treasure, and talents to transform that burned out bowling alley into a comfortable sanctuary in which to worship the Lord.

This message is more than a history of a building, the dedication of the sanctuary, or stories about a group of people. We hope that listeners will be moved as they hear how hard work and unfailing trust in the Lord made our church and our building what it is today.
