Idols Are Nothing

In Isaiah 41:21-29, we observe 2 presentations in Yahweh's
court which prove idols are nothing.
I. The idols present no evidence.
A. Yahweh asks for evidence (v. 21).

1. What were your purposes for past
   events (v. 22)?
2. What will happen in the future (v. 23a)?
3. Can you do anything at all (v. 23b)?
   B. Yahweh rules: because you are silent,
4. You are nothing (v. 24a).
5. Your work is less than nothing (v. 24b).
6. Anyone choosing you is an abomination
   (v. 24c).
   II. Yahweh presents His evidence.
   A. I raised up Cyrus for my purpose (v. 25).
7. You, nor anyone else, knew or declared
   this before I accomplished it (v. 26)?
8. I declared it before I accomplished it
   (v. 27).
