Mankind is guility because he has rejected God eventhough Creation reveals God

Creation reveals three things about God:His Invisible Attributes, His Eternal Power, His Divine Nature

How do we deal with original cause?

What did people do then (and still do today) with that knowledge of God?

They did not esteem, value and glorify Him as God.

They did not give Him thanks, Ingratitude is a despicable sin.

“In everything give thanks! For it is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” I Th 5:18

They committed the ultimate transgression: exchanging the glory of God for an image.
Worshipping representations and creatures rather than the creator

… and man-made religion was born! gods were made according to our image!

Eventually we become what we worship!

24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them.

CONCLUSION:
God’s ultimate rejection consists in being delivered over to what our hearts lust. What a scary thought!
On the Cross, Jesus bore the impurity, detestable and despicable acts of those He came to save. The Gospel story is the assurance, that because Jesus suffered God’s rejection, we won’t if we are found in Him.
