Heartwrenching Grace

In the account of Elijah's time with the widow at Zarephath, there is an unexpected twist in the narrative, an event that even takes Elijah by surprise: the illness and death of the widow's son. Elijah, in confronting the unexpected, does what a man of faith should do: he prays. In this event of her son's death and return to life, the widow endures heartbreak and then rejoices in God's grace.
