The Servant and the Spirit (Matt. 12:15-37)

“By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Jesus is talking about the final judgment. “On the day of judgment, people will give account for every careless word.”

How will God judge on the final day? Jesus says that on the day of judgment, God will judge you according to your words. By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Now, I know that for many of you, you hear that and you say, “Whoa! Wait a second! That sounds like justification by works!”

What does Jesus mean?!
