Stand Firm, Holding Fast to the Truth

In his closing comments the apostle Paul emphasized strongly the need the church had and continues to have to be firmly established on the truth of God's Word and hold that position. God's power works through HIs Word. Compromise or diluting the Word with worldly ideas, philosophies, and trendy ways of comfortably doing ministry in a hostile world renders the Word and work powerless, pointless, and missing the purpose. The admonition and instruction to the Church is likewise applicable to each individual believer in the Church.
This message is followed by a brief discussion regarding the question of the death of babies and those with mental disabilities and their eternal destiny.
