The Mighty Angel With The Little Scroll

John has a vision of a mighty angel that stood on the land and the sea. He speaks and swears in the name of God of Judgment to come, and has in his had a little scroll. John takes the scroll from the angel and is instructed to eat the scroll or we would say to read it contents, when he does it is sweet to his taste but bitter in his belly. Such are the judgments of God, though we know God is just and true in all his dealings with men, the terror of the judgments left John up set. The old testament often speaks of the bowels being the seat of man emotions and this revelation was disturbing for the terrifying effects it would bring upon a watching world were man lives in rebellion against God.
