This was an early treatment of the new covenant by God’s servant, originally preached in 1864. He makes the point of the futility of man @ attempting complete obedience to the law of God. A bright, vibrant use of the act of writing is very effective at illustrating God’s interposition of grace in the life of the helpless sinner.
