I Am Smarter Than God!

“I Am Smarter Than God!”
I Text: Old Covenant: (Isaiah 55)
New Covenant: (John 4)

II Doctrine: The Lord Jesus Christ was the word of God come to us in the flesh. In the person of the Lord Jesus christ we are able to see the character of the living God. Men are supposed to learn about the character of God and emulate him in our life. This is difficult for Men and Women to do because of our sin nature. Especially when we cannot immediately understand God’s ways we doubt and judge him. We must always trust the wisdom of god over our own. We must swallow our pride and realize in our spirit, we are not smarter than God. When in doubt we must eat the bread of his body, drink the milk of the word, sip the wine of the covenant, and drink from the river of life.

III Reasons:

1. Men and Nations destroy themselves for lack of knowledge. They emulate their Father.
2. Without the humble application of Gospel principles people will be caught in perpetual slavery.
3. People will invent perverse ways of empowering themselves instead of going to God for guidance.
   IV Application:
4. Even when we do not understand the Lord keep his commands and employ his principles in your life.
5. We illustrate our faith when we wait on the Lord in difficult situations.
6. Living in Christ we become a Nation and people that cannot be destroyed in time or eternity.
