Without doubt, the popular perception of the OT prophets is one of doom and gloom. What Amos says about the Day of Judgment many people apply to the prophets as a whole: "that day will be darkness, not light"! I do not share that pessimistic view of the prophets and neither will you after you read this chapter. Will anyone survive the wrath of God? Meet God's OT remnant.
