Faith WATCHES At The Cross

The final message in a series of five, 'Faith WATCHES At The Cross' explores the truth that, at Calvary, the true Christian watches AGAINST some things and watches FOR others.

Faith watches AGAINST:

1. SIN ...

"As the believer stands sentry at the cross, he is in a position to check the unmortified corruption of his nature ..."

The Bible demands that we (i) DIE TO SIN.

Coupled with this demand, watching against sin also includes (ii) DESIRES FOR SANCTIFICATION.

2. SEDUCTION ...

Temptation is a recurrent problem for the child of God.

3. SECULARISM ...

We need to guard against adopting the mindset and materialistic philosophy of this world.

4. SATAN ...

Our chief adversary and accuser is always around - the closer we are to Christ, the more vicious and sustained will be his assaults!
