The Apostle Peter And The Devout, Praying Man Who Feared God But Wasn't Saved

201

How many times have you heard someone say that although someone may be involved with a cult or a false religion, that God will "cut them a break" if they have a "good heart"? I don't know about you, but I hear that all the times it seems. In my bible study time this morning, I came across a very familiar story about a "good, godly man" that, even though I had read it many times before, the Holy Spirit opened up my understanding of it in a brand new way.

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we will be looking at the story of Cornelius who has not only a good man, he seemed in many respects like a great man. The bible says that Cornelius was devout, he feared God, he gave alms to the poor a lot, and he prayed to God constantly. But it seems that there was just one, tiny little thing that this good man lacked. He wasn't saved! Have you ever stopped to consider that someone could pray constantly, feared God and help the poor and still be lost?!? What a thing, man! Join us tonight as we open the scriptures to read about the amazing day that salvation came to Cornelius' house. It just may change your life.

ADDITIONAL TOPIC: Since Israel at the moment is so very close to all-out war with Hamas and Iran right now, we will be devoting a full half hour to bring you updates and insights on the current Gaza conflict.

"And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved." Acts 11:13,14 (KJV)
