Acts #102 How God Brings His Promises to Pass

64

God uses remarkable and vastly different means to bring His promises to pass in the lives of His people.
Dear ones, God has promised you who trust alone in Jesus that you will reach the other side of whatever you are facing—you will be rescued by the Lord now or later, in this life or in the life to come. The enemies that seek to destroy you will not be the victors, but will be defeated in each and every case. You may not have smooth sailing, but God has promised you, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).
Likewise, God promised Paul that all 276 souls on that ship that was near destruction would all be preserved;
and yet the means God used to realize that promise were not pleasant, comfortable, or easy, but rather dangerous, painstaking, and slow in coming to pass.
The main points from our text are these:
(1) The Means God Used to Keep His Promise (Acts 27:27-43); (2) God’s Promise Is Always Realized (Acts 27:44).
