In Psalm 42 what is the state of the Psalmist? Thoughts?

He’s unhappy and in trouble.

So what is Spiritual Depression? Thoughts

The book and our study will focus on the causes of spiritual depression and how we should deal with it Biblically

How often is Spiritual Depression mentioned in the Bible? Is it a new
problem? Thoughts?

Its terrible how many Christians struggle with severe depression. Its sad how often Christians are unable to honor the Lord this side of heaven

As Christians we must deal with depression because of the glory of God, for the sake of His Kingdom

In verse 5 the Psalmist declares the sight of God’s countenance, His presence

In verse 11 the Psalmist speaks of his own countenance

You take one look at this man and his condition is clear but the Psalmist is saying when you look at/towards God you get better.

Basically we need to understand who we are and our temperament

We are all in the same fight and share a common salvation and even have some common needs, but our troubles are many times different. Especially our struggles with the trouble

We could generally and broadly break people up into 2 groups. The Extrovert and the Introvert
