The vital need of the Spirit

We came to the beginning of Acts 2. We saw how the disciples were waiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit in great measure. We took some time to see why there was the need to wait for Him to come. Naturally men and women are dead in trespasses and sins. They have no ability to respond to the Gospel unless there is the quickening work of the Spirit. There is no natural ability to begin the process of saving faith. Salvation is of the Lord.
