Submitting to God's Civil Authority

God is King over all, and is sovereign over all of heaven and earth. Yet God is pleased to vest His ruling authority in rulers. By obeying rulers and submitting to their authority we please God. We also gain temporal benefits, and avoid His wrath and condemnation. Would you keep a good conscience? Then you must submit to the civil government which God has ordained.
