In verse 33, at the conclusion to this section of exhortations to Christian husbands and wives concerning how they are to relate to one another in marriage, Paul rounds off his discussion with two summarizing exhortations in which the duties and responsibilities of husbands and wives are restated: "let each of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband."
