The Life of Elijah - Part 11

God always has someone to come alongside or behind someone else (ex. Moses and Joshua). Here Elijah anoints Elisha as his successor. Elisha is willing to make the sacrifice of leaving his family and any future and finances with the family business. He spends 10 years serving and learning from Elijah, the prophet of God.
Here the lesson is that God will never call anyone to a position of authority until they first take up a position of servant.
