Why We Can Trust God - Eschatology 54

52

When we are overwhelmed with the difficulties of life, it often appears that He is not in control or His control is not taking things in a direction that we like or are comfortable living under. Since God intends that we walk by faith and not by sight we must know just Whom we are trusting in. Here we continue our study of what His plane is for this creation and the one to follow. When the Lord Jesus has brought every person that has ever lived under the authority given to Him, He will then turn the kingdom back to the Father. All things will be brought into submission to Him, and therefore to the Father as well. Then since the old creation has been dealt with perfectly in accordance with the will of the Father, it will be the “time”, to leave time, and to enter into eternity future, with the creation of the new heavens and the new earth. Made like Him we will be perfectly fitted for our new abode! Here we look at how our great God has been moving all through history to make all things new, with an emphasis on a comparison of the old creation and each believer as a new creation or creature in the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been created anew not by good works but we have been created for good works!
