Sharing His Holiness

How often do we consider, do we meditate upon, and do we pursue, our need for holiness? If we are honest, the answer is likely "not often, if ever". The problem is that the Word of God here in Hebrews tells us so very clearly that without holiness, without sanctification, "no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14). Despite the fact that we fail to pursue holiness, this passage also tell us that we can praise God that He considers our holiness, and He pursues it, with each and every one of His children. Here in this 12th chapter in the letter to the Hebrews, we learn that the children of God need to be bathed in His holiness, which occurs eternally through the blood of Christ, and in this life, is pointed to through the Father’s loving hand of discipline.
