Leviticus 19 is the lynch pin of the revisionist argument against the historic understanding of scripture. The revisionist accuses the church of hypocrisy for enforcing the sexual ethics of Leviticus 18, while ignoring the unusual commands of chapter 19.

The simplest way to deal with Leviticus 19 is to either insist on letter of the law obedience - right down to not wearing blended fabrics; or setting aside every commandment in Leviticus as non-binding.

However, there are two very clear teachings that emerge from Leviticus 19 that offer an interpretive key for the rest of this chapter. This sermon sets forth these two clear teachings and bids the church to heed the Word of the Lord.
