The Pope's Too Late!

Over a million Catholics gathered earlier this morning to celebrate the Beatification of John Paul II by the new Pope.

The details of this pagan idolatry are laid out in detail, including the worship of a relic of the dead Pope's blood.

The whole concept of beatification and canonization flow inexorably from the false gospel of the Roman Catholic system.

The true Gospel is that the Lord Jesus shifted the judgment for sin from His people onto Himself at Calvary and paid the full price of righteous judgment that we should have received.

But the Catholic false gospel is one of personal merit gained by a lifetime of obedience to the law and rituals of the church, along with merit dispensed by the church from its "bank of merit," and the judgment of purgatory and the grace of baptism.

Catholics teach a man is not justified and declared righteous until God takes account of all his good works, along with the grace bestowed by the Church, and all his sin is purged by the fire of purgatory. Only when a sinner is perfect in his own holiness does he have salvation and eternal life. Only upon reaching Heaven is a man blessed.

But Scripture teaches that Believers are blessed when they trust in the Savior's obedience and blood! No Pope can declare a true Christian "blessed" because Jesus has already done so!

Catholic doctrine teaches that God imputes sin to Christians, which is why they need the rituals of the church and personal holiness to find forgiveness.

But God does not impute sin to the Believer, for it has all been imputed to Christ already! That is why a Believer is declared "blessed" now: his sins are never again held against him forever!
