Nine common objections/questions regarding (particularly private) prayer answered - peppered with Scriptural illustrations and puritan quotations:-
Q1 What are we to pray for?
Q2 Where shall we pray?
Q3 I have prayed but there is no answer.
Q4 I am too busy or tired for secret prayer.
Q5 I would willingly pray but lack the ability to pray.
Q6 I have no enthusiasm about my prayers but am dull and drowsy.
Q7 I am troubled with distractions in prayer.
Q8 If God has decreed what comes to pass why pray at all?
Q9 Scripture teaches that those whom he has effectually called he enables to pray but because of my dull and unpraying heart I doubt my effectual calling.
