Many Crowns
Preached in Pasadena, Texas on Lord's Day morning, Jan. 31, 1965.
As a young preacher Bro. Barnard met Dr. George W. Truett, and when introduced to the great preacher he was surprised that Dr. Truett had been praying for him and his ministry in Borger, Texas, the wild-west oil town. Then Truett turned to Barnard and said, "Young man, learn that it is not important to preach a bunch of truths but the only thing worth proclaiming is a PERSON, our Lord."
You will also want to hear the experience of the late Jewish-Christian evangelist Hyman Appleman, as told by Bro. Barnard, who knew him during seminary days at Fort Worth.
Oh, the worthiness of our LORD! We must be willing to "forsake all and follow HIM!" Salvation is a bowing to the crowned, enthroned Lord Jesus Christ. DO YOU KNOW CHRIST? HAVE YOU BOWED TO HIM? HAVE YOU SURRENDERED EVERYTHING INTO HIS HANDS? Throw down your shotgun; lift the white flag of surrender to our blessed Lord.
