The Need for Forgiveness

Today few believe they need forgiveness. Many think they deserve to do anything they want to do and no one has the right to question them or even to think otherwise about it. Oddly, such people often pick and find faults with others, and yet, they do not think they should change or show sorrow for their own wrongs. While we should always have a forgiving spirit, forgiveness and full reconciliation cannot be achieved unless the offending party asks for forgiveness. Though someone does wrong and it is made known to him, how can he have forgiveness if he shows no remorse for his wrong and never asks for forgiveness? We must confess our sins. The Scriptures knows nothing of a forgiven person who is not repentant and seeks forgiveness from the offended party.
