Watch Against All Eruptions of Your Corruptions

Consider what opportunities, and on what occasions your sin has taken to assert itself. Watch out for any instance of it. To carefully observe your life this way is one part of the duty which Jesus recommends to his disciples under the name of watching: "I say to you all, Watch" (KJV, Mk. 13:37). In Luke 21:34, it is: "But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life." Watch against all eruptions of your corruptions."
