Standing in the Gap!

Have you ever stood before someone who was extremely angry and stopped them from starting what would probably have been a physical altercation? You stood in front of them and (by force) you had to hold them back, while telling them NO! Don't do this! Think of the ramifications; nothing good can come from this; just let it go.
~ And so, you intervened to stop them.
~ In our text, Moses INTERVENED for the sinful and rebellious people of Israel not long after God had freed them (by the hand of Moses) from Egypt from being Pharaoh's slaves and bondmen.
~ But Moses didn't intervene to try and stop an angry man from destroying the sinful people of Israel; he stepped in the front of an angry God who was intent on destroying them!
