One New Humanity

The minting of one new humanity in the crucible of Christ's cross by reconciling those who were near (the Jew) and those who were far away from God (the Gentile) by His own blood, is a revelation that no one in the apostle Paul's day could have imagined possible! Our enmity between us and God and between one another has been utterly put to death in the cross.
This 'before and after' picture should leave us eternally grateful for the rich privilege we now share with redeemed Jews; no longer 'access denied' but now as one body in Christ enjoying full access to the Father by the one Spirit. Christ is now the cornerstone of a brand new humanity in which God dwells by His Spirit. This is no 'pipe dream' but the solid foretaste of the world to come and the only sure basis of true community and peace.
