Abounding in the Grace of Giving

When was the last time you begged someone to allow you to share in their ministry? Have you ever given sacrificially---perhaps even, out of your poverty, to minister to someone in need? In this message, Pastor Russ points out that if you are an average American, you are a member of the 1%. That is, you earn more than 99% of all wage earners who have ever lived.

When the Christians in Corinth (southern Greece) heard that their brethren in Jerusalem were in severe financial straits, they determined to help them. Paul boasted of their resolve to the churches in Macedonia (northern Greece). The churches of Macedonia had very little, but they begged Paul to let them have a part in this offering. However, the church of Corinth, which was the first to offer help, never actually got around to doing so. In this chapter, Paul urges them to abound in the grace of giving, and follow through on their earlier determination. Do you abound in the grace of giving?
