10 Marks of Character

The measure of character is what a man thinks, what he says, and what he does. There are marks of character related to what a man thinks. Some of the marks are:
- Foolish thinking is a mark of bad character. Prov. 24:9
- Lack of Discretion is a mark of bad character. Prov. 11:22
- A person of good character is satisfied with the spouse of his/her youth. Prov. 5:18
- Men of bad character go in unto their neighbor's wife. Prov. 6:29
- A mark of good character is shown by not quitting in spite of setbacks. Prov. 24:16
- A mark of good character is that one does not 'toot his own horn.' Prov. 20:6
- A mark of good character is refusing to mock the poor. Prov. 17:5
- A mark of good character is that a person has rule over his own spirit. Prov. 25:28
- A mark of good character is that one does not rejoice in the defeats of others. Prov. 24:17
- A mark of good character is that one is not greedy of gain. Prov. 15:27
